This week we celebrate the music of Loren Newell. He left us this past week, leaving us all with the realization that we will not hear more new music from this incredible composer and performer. My favorites of his are Gamelan Ensemble related but he takes us on so many other meditative journeys, engulfing us in a sound bath of gongs, drones and contemplation. If you have not heard his music then I hope this gives you the push to hear more, if you have then sit back and enjoy like I will, this depth of meditative, sonic landscapes. We will miss you Loren!
