Ambient Soundscape designer, recording engineer, musician and broadcaster, Chris Kuborn has been composing electronic music since his early days in college on the famed Moog 900 series Modular Synth and the Synclavier sampler. These two synths gave him his first introduction to the new world of sound provided by electronics and computers.
He has taught modular synthesis and computer generated music for over 20 years as well as worked as a performer, recording engineer and sound designer. His latest recording “Lands Never Seen” can be found on all major streaming services and has received high acclaim in the ambient/electronic music community. This marks his third modern release.
He has performed via live stream for several Electronic Music festivals including Mountain Skies 2021 and was featured in a broadcast on Radio Spiral as artist of the week. He is currently in production on his next two recordings soon to be released in 2022. His music is available in both CD and digital formats through his site on Bandcamp.
Chris holds a MM from Ohio University in Music Composition and a BM in Music from University of Wisconsin – Oshkosh. He is currently on the faculty of Northeast Wisconsin Technical College in the Digital Media Technology Program where he focusses on Audio Recording, Sound Design & Music Production, teaching beat production, music synthesis as well as mixing, mastering & distribution of digital content.
